STELLAAAAA!

Last weekend we had a long weekend, because of Columbus Day.  Todd wanted to do something EXTRA awesome, so we made a list of things we wanted to do that weekend.  My nephew C was baptized Saturday morning, so we were so excited to be there for that special day for him.  It was awesome!

Family picture on C's special day.

Next on our list of adventures was going to a huge pet adoption fair sponsored by No Kill Utah (NKUT), an initiative to make Utah a no kill state for animal shelters.  We walked around a little bit, and then I saw this sweet dog that I knew I wanted to meet.  Her name was Stella.  We took her out for a little walk, and I fell in love immediately.  Todd wanted to walk around and meet a few other dogs, so we did.  We took another dog out, but at that point I knew I wanted that first dog.  So, we hurried and took Stella out for another walk to make sure she was the right dog for us.  She was so sweet, beautiful, chill, and loved being loved on.  So, we took the plunge and adopted her!

Our sweet Stella Mae.  She's beautiful!

Our first family picture!
The sign is a little bleached out, but it says "I adopted my best friend".

We are so in love with her!

This is the face she gives while she watches us eat, and when she wants loves.

She is such a fun little addition to our family, and we're excited for her to someday be a big sister! :)

Conference Weekend

Todd's parents came up the first weekend of October for General Conference.  Todd's work had a free Lagoon day that Saturday, so we decided that we'd take Dean and Pam with us!  It was a ton of fun!  We hit the main rides (about 7 of them), ate some Lagoon food, and then headed back to Salt Lake City for Cousin's night.  It was a long, but wonderful day!

Selfie on the old white roller coaster!

It was Frightmare's at Lagoon, so they had a bunch of Halloweeny decorations out.

Dean showing us how it's done.  He's basically a pro Skee Baller.

My delicious (super-over-priced-but-worth-it) churro.

Todd's tots.  The kid working there hooked us up big time with a TON of tots.

On Sunday we had tickets to go to the afternoon session of General Conference.  It's always nice to hear the counsel of the leaders of the Church.

Inside the Conference Center. The screen behind us says not to take pictures.. Oops!

We had to take a selfie outside the Conference center.  It was such a beautiful day!

Lots of Mormons!

We are so grateful that we were able to spend such a great weekend with Dean and Pam.  It's always so much fun to have them around, and they are always up for a lot of fun!
