December 2019- Christmas trees, painting, and animal sitting.

Christmas is such a special time of year, especially when you have the Riley version of Buddy the Elf.  In November we walked into Costco and he yelled "IT'S CHRISTMAS IN HERE!!".  It was so cute, and he just loves everything about Christmas.

Todd took this picture of him waiting for us to go somewhere.. it's pretty dang cute.

Putting the star on the tree

Riley was so disappointed that we left Costco without getting a book he reeeally wanted. He wouldn't even look at the camera. 🤣

Eating the chocolate from the countdown calendar

Painting his Christmas gifts to J & M (his birth parents) and several other special people in his life.

I got a new vacuum (Thanks Mom! 😘) , so we made a 'robot costume' for Riley.  It was hilarious watching him run around with it on!

Our traditional trip to Temple Square to see the Christmas lights.

Riley got some dinosaur eggs to hatch (and a remote control car!) from a couple we work with... He wasn't very patient and helped them hatch after letting them soak for about 20 minutes.

Our Christmas Elf

Mommer and Popper (Todd's grandparents) send 'Popper Cookies'- which are Ritz crackers with peanut butter in between, then dipped in chocolate- to all of their grand-kids every Christmas.  Ours got lost in the mail, so we got them about a week after everyone else.  We were SO excited when those delicious treats finally arrived!

Corey and Erin took the boys to Hawaii for Christmas this year, so we watched Jack (their dog) and Tiny Kitten (their kitten).  Riley was in HEAVEN and didn't leave Tiny alone the entire time he was at our house.

Loving on Tiny.

Reading one of his Christmas presents.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

The zoo had a free day, so we met up with some friends to get out of the house for a little bit.

Todd and Riley on the zoo carousel.

It was SO cold, so thankfully we weren't there terribly long.  It was nice to get out for a little bit though.

Riley and Tiny. So cute!

Truth be told- Todd's not a huge fan of Jack or cats in general.  I thought it was pretty funny that ALL of the littles in our house were touching Todd, so I had to document it.

We snuck out one day to go to the planetarium.  It was a nice adventure!

Riley got Candy Land for Christmas... This was his first time playing and losing, so he was pretty heartbroken.  We had a little talk about how sometimes when we play games we lose, and then played again and he won!

Jack getting comfy in Riley's spidey chair.  He's such a good pup and it was fun to have them visiting over Christmas!
