March 2021- Swim Lessons, Leprechaun Traps, and a Big Chop!

March was pretty busy!  Riley started swim lessons at the rec center and KILLED IT.   The last time he had lessons he yelled "NO!" and "SAVE ME!", so I didn't have high expectations this go around.  He sure surprised both of us and was a champ!
So excited for swim lessons.  We ended up getting him new trunks because the ones we had were HUGE!

I started painting my nails again and Riley decided he wanted to have his nails painted as well, and then decided he wanted to paint Dad's nails.  So we all had matching nails for a week or so.  It was pretty awesome!

Wheeler Farm shenanigans again.

Snuggles in the car. 💓

I had been thinking about cutting my hair and donating it, so I finally took the plunge!

Before

After!  It's super short, but I love it!  It's taking some getting used to, but it's SO much faster to do and doesn't take forever to dry anymore!

We went to the library and checked out books for Riley's first time.  He was SO excited to learn that we can borrow books from the library.

Dad and Riley reading one of his library books.

This is the face of a kid who just read his first book out loud. BY HIMSELF!  I'm so proud of this kid and how fast he's caught on to reading.  It's awesome!

Riley made a leprechaun trap at preschool, so we had to try it out when he got home.  Turns out, leprechauns are SUPER sneaky and that little guy left shamrocks all over our house!  And a cookie!
His face when he found the first shamrock.  I love this kid!  He's a ham!

The cookie the leprechaun left!

Some cute neighbor friends left a rainbow jello and gold candy on our doorstep.  This kid had a sugar rush alllll day!

Here's to April! 🎉🎉
